Haripurdhar is a charming town in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Perched on a high ridge at an elevation of 2,500 meters, it offers stunning views of the deep valley below. Once known as ‘Dungbhangayani,’ this town served as the summer capital of Sirmour. Rich in history, Haripurdhar features a fort called “Killa,” built by the rulers of Sirmour State to protect the borders from the neighboring Jubbal state. Although the fort is now abandoned, some parts are still used by the Forest Department as their headquarters.
